Liposuction or fat suction is a surgical method, which can help to reduce subcutaneous fatty tissue (removal of fat from the body by sucking it out of subcutaneous layers), in order to improve the form of body parts and the patient’s aesthetic appearance. After a local anaesthetic has been administered, a special fluid is injected into the relevant zone, which diffuses fatty cells and makes the suction of fat much easier and more effective. This is not a slimming method, but rather an opportunity to obtain the desired form and volume for various body zones. Liposuction is carried out in any body zones (hips, stomach, sides, bottom, roe, breasts, as well as in the neck zone under the chin, the upper arm area, as well as in any other part of the body where it is necessary).
The main goal of liposuction is to remove excess fatty masses from the body, as a result of which the form of individual body parts is improved.
The operation is carried out under a spinal, general or local anaesthetic, depending on the size of the zone. The patient remains in hospital for a couple of hours after the operation or overnight.
